5 Tips To Write A Successful Blog

Hello and welcome back! I would first like to apologise for the lack of a post yesterday. There was a miscommunication and I promise it will never happen again. Today I am here to tell you about how to write a successful blog. Now, I know what you might be thinking, this blog isn’t so big yet, how can you know how to write a successful blog before your blog has really become that successful? Well knowing how to be successful doesn’t mean that you have to be successful yet.

Tip #1 – Stay with your topic. Readers what something that they were told that they are going to get. If you start a blog that says that you are going to post about, say, music, post about music! This is why they came to your blog in the first place and why they might have subscribed to you. You don’t want to loose viewers or subscribers just because you got bored of one topic and wanted to move onto the next! You can eliminate this problem in the beginning by choosing a blog topic that you know has a lot of material that you can use and that you love to talk about and won’t get bored of. You could also do what we did here at Your Daily Dose Of Fab and have few different authors that post about different topics themselves. Or, if you are looking to go solo on this, you could just start a miscellaneous blog, where you post a different topic every time.

Tip #2 – Keep with your post schedule. I know your are probably laughing right now, but I swear that is will never happen again. But anyway, It is very important to stay with your schedule because if you don’t post of the date that you post is expected on you could have some very disappointed viewers (Again, very sorry). Make sure that when you are creating the blog that you look at your schedule and make sure that your posting date works with your schedule and that you will be able to keep up with your promised date. If you say that you will post every day, make sure that you will do it. Even if only once a month is when you can post, you will still be giving your viewers something to read and something to look forward to.

Tip #3 – Check your spelling and grammar. I am sure that you have been told this many, many times before, especially at your job and in school. It does apply here though. it if very important that your grammar is correct and that you have no spelling errors, as you want your viewers to be able to read hat you post, right. You can do this by getting somebody else to go back and read your post, do it your self, or you can use the spelling and grammar check application that is installed on most of the blog sites out there (Including WordPress).

Tip #4 – Make it your blog look exciting. Viewers will be more drawn into reading your blog if it looks fun and bright and colourful, rather than dark, and dull. Make sure that you choose a theme for your blog that fits you and your blog the best. I am going to use the example of a music blog again. There are many themes that you can find that include musical symbols. Also, if you do want to choose a darker theme for your blog, you can change the colour of the text of your blog so that it still looks exciting but you have that dark background that you wanted to have, and I’m not saying the text has to be neon rainbows, it can be some nice teal and green or something that goes with what you have in mind. Another good way to make your blog look exciting is to insert pictures. They add colour and also provide a much needed visual aid for some of the genres of posts.

Tip #5 – Get your readers involved. People like discussion. If you get your viewers involved with your blog, then they are more likely to come back and read more. You can get them involved by starting a discussion in the comment section of your blog. After you post, write a short comment that might spark discussion among readers. You can also start a contest. People love competing, and if you want to get them really excited, add a prize. It doesn’t have to be really big, something like ‘you get to post one day’ or something fun like that.

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed my post today, and I apologise again for missing a posting day yesterday! Make sure you come back daily for another post by one of our three amazing authors or follow us using your email or WordPress account to receive a notification every time we post!

Until the next time!
